I promise I didn't mean to lie to you. I was lied to too. On the box of Season 2, it said that Season 3 of Heroes was going to premier on Sept. 8. Well, it didn't happen :( It premiers on the 22nd. All that excitement for nothing. But it probably ended up being a good thing. My house got some good attention which it desperately needed. It was so so messy. But it's all good now. Well except for our bedroom, which will get that attention tonight while Chad is night flying with a student.
Chad sent me this new's article today: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26513442/?GT1=43001. It's title is: "Eating too much? ‘Law & Order’ may be guilty. Must-bleed TV fans consumed with thoughts of death — and groceries?" I thought it was hilarious and scary at the same time because I think someone's been stalking me and written the article about me. I love, love, love food and I love, love, love Law and Order and any other "must bleed" tv shows, as they call it. I pretty much have an unhealthy addiction to both.
"In the study, titled “The Sweet Escape,” researchers conducted four experiments revealing that “consumers who have been recently reminded of their own impending mortality” spend more on groceries — and actually eat more of those groceries. We found that when people think about the fact that they’re going to die someday — not now, but someday — they want to consume more of everything,” says Naomi Mandel, co-author of the study and an associate professor of marketing at Arizona State University. “We find this with snacks and drinks but also all kinds of different foods: frozen foods, meats, vegetables, everything.”"
I do not think this preoccupation with death, whether subconcious or not, is true of me. I don't fear death, I know what lies ahead! I just watch these shows for the sheer entertainment. I love the suspense of it all and solving the case. And I just so happen to be a glutton. Is there I link between the two? I don't know.
Speaking of death, I saw my life flash before my eyes this morning (humm, maybe that's why I wanted to go out to eat for lunch today...it was yummy :) Anyway, a truck pulled out in front of me close to where I work on Lakeland. I was going 50 mph (speed limit). I slammed on my breaks, but he still would have hit me so I jerked my car over to the next lane. If there had been a car there....well, it would have been really bad. The two biggest things I miss about the town of Natchez are:
1. The small roads (no interstates) and lack of traffic
2. Dirt Cheap
Tonight's menu: Breakfast - eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and hashbrowns.

After living is Jackson all my life I never thought the traffic was all that bad. But then I moved to small town Natchez and now I can't drive at all! Hernando is just as slow so when I have to go to Memphis it almost cause a panic attack!
